QOB Ltd. had acquired a very elegant property in the prime location on the busy Park Street in the heart of Mayfair in London, requiring some remedial and renovation work to be carried out.
At the request of QOB Ltd., EWI Ltd were asked to submit recommendations, timeline and a proposal and estimate for the installation of an external wall rendering system to the basement area with a lightwell. Existing walls were constructed using gloss brickwork.
EWI Ltd recommended the BBA and BDA approved Fassa Bortolo Render System using EPS boards over fixed to the existing gloss brickwork to create a suitable substrate for the render system. Our recommendation was for an A96 base coat, embedded with Fassanet reinforcement fiberglass mesh, finished with RX561 1.5mm silicone topcoat.
The specification was approved by both QOB Ltd., and the Grosvenor Conservation Council. The contract was agreed and works began soon after on 1st May 2023.
