A period character property in need of remedial care.

Clapham

South London

With a huge 165m2 open expanse to the side, this charming period property in Clapham in South London had become an irresistible canvas for local graffiti artists. Coupled with this, there was a long history of damp, cold internal walls from some superficial damage caused by a World War two bomb.

After first removing all existing render, the solution was an interesting use of 100mm Sto-Therm Classic K  Energy Saving render system, mechanically fixed over eps insulation boards. Over this was applied a 1.5mm Sto Silco decorative finish in three distinct colours in our customer’s own design, brightening the side of the renovated property in a style which it is hoped will deter graffiti artists from wanting to add to.

Certainly, one of our more interesting projects, and proving to be both efficient and eye-catching.
